We love how Fargo-Moorhead has the amenities of a larger city with the conveniences of a smaller town. Many established and flourishing businesses across multiple industries provide a solid foundation for the local economy while multiple colleges in the area provide an energetic presence and activities for the community. Also, having the aforementioned with the convenience of a short commute and access to so many outstanding recreational opportunities is a great combination and what we were seeking in a place to live. "Being a ND native, my husband and I jumped at the chance to live in Sydney, Australia for 2 years. We enjoyed every minute of it but when it was time to return to the United States we had to choose where to live. For us, it didn’t take long. We chose to move back to our home state of North Dakota and specifically to Fargo. We have three kids and love the education system as well as the limited crime in our area. Having traveled extensively we understand that having a safe community is so important. Also, in Fargo we have access to so many activities with the Dome for concerts and events, the local colleges for athletics and fine arts and close proximity to the lakes for the summer. We are proud to name Fargo as our home."

"One of the primary reasons why my family moved to Fargo was for their exceptional school system. My wife and I wanted to find a community that would be best for our family. Our son has special needs, and when we visited Fargo during my job interview, we were very impressed with the schools. They were all exceptional – much more than the other bigger cities that we were considering. Not only were they terrific for kids with special needs, but also for their advanced programs. We have been very grateful for our decision to move here. Not only have we been impressed with the community (many fun family activities) and people, but it is nice living in a state where the economy is still doing well. I work at NDSU, and instead of hiring freezes we are talking about pay raises. In these turbulent economic times, that has been comforting."
