STEM Education
Business, education and community leaders in Fargo Moorhead recognize the critical role of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education in today’s world. Preparing our citizens to excel in the STEM disciplines guarantees a pipeline of skilled workers and helps secure their prosperity in the long-term.
In Fargo Moorhead, we believe we can lead the nation in STEM education reform. Doing so involves the support and cooperation of parents, education and community leaders and the private sector.
As a community, our goals are to:

To develop relationships and collaboration between members of the K-12 education community, higher education and the private sector.

To expand and enhance STEM-related extracurricular/after-school activities, camps, etc.

To increase student and parent awareness of the importance of STEM education.

To explore opportunities for future finding of STEM initiatives, including a metro-wide STEM Coordinator position.

To play a proactive role in engaging education policy-makers in North Dakota and Minnesota.
